About Us

Ricky Bags Africa is a social enterprise rooted in sustainable fashion and community empowerment, founded in honor of Richard “Ricky” Mrima. Inspired by Ricky’s legacy of courage, humanity, and love for community, we are dedicated to transforming waste into high quality, stylish bags. Using upcycled materials like billboards, banners, leather scraps, and canvas, our products are not only eco-friendly but tell stories of creativity, resilience, and positive change. Every bag is crafted with purpose, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and social impact.

Our Impact

At Ricky Africa, every upcycled bag tells a bigger story. By transforming discarded billboard banners into durable, stylish products, we prevent plastic waste from ending up in landfills or polluting our environment.
Each bag represents 0.5 kilograms of waste diverted and a measurable reduction in carbon emissions.

With your support, we are not only giving new life to materials that would otherwise be wasted, but also actively cutting down on greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change.

Ricky Beba Tumaini Fundraiser

Join Us

Hey Friends! This year, Ricky Empowerment CBO has set a mission. To place 1,000 bags into the hands of students. Not just bags… but symbols of belief. Symbols that someone cares. Symbols that they matter. And this mission cannot happen alone. It happens through people who believe in impact. People who believe in education. People who believe in changing lives, one student at a time.

We’re raising funds for Beba Tumaini and every little bit counts. You can join us by clicking on the button below or via Paybill: 891300; Account: 134729. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
